Creating glass art is an energy-intensive process. Kilns must reach high temperatures and often run for many hours, so it would be misleading to describe kiln-formed glass as entirely environmentally friendly. However, there are many ways to reduce waste, use resources more carefully and create artwork more thoughtfully.
